Origin: Central and South America, mainly in the Republic of Suriname
Snakewood is also used for violin bows. The name comes from the snake-like appearance. It is also called leopard wood because it resembles a leopard pattern. The specific gravity is 1.36, which is very dense and heavy. The gloss finished with Urushi Coating is extremely beautiful and also prevents cracking. Limited to 40 pieces.
