Origin: India
Among the Red Sander (legumes) called “God wood”, “Old Red Sander” is extremely hard and has a high rarity value because it grows up over many years.
Due to the CITES ban on raw wood imports, it is rarely sold to the general public due to a small amount of domestic stock in Japan. Fortunately, I got the material for making high-grade shamisen, a Japanese musical instrument. The oil finish is beautiful enough, but please enjoy the beautiful luster and deep black red by Urushi Coating. The specific gravity is 1.2 and it is dense and heavy.
