Released in 1985
Celluloid, which has revolutionized the color of camphor shafts for almost 30 years since the latter half of the 1920s, is a nitrate ester made by treating fiber (cellulose) taken from the cotton core (cotton linter) with a mixed acid of nitric acid and sulfuric acid. It is a semi-natural artificial resin that is rare nowadays made by adding camphor to (nitrocellulose).
In the history of fountain pens, we usually made a sheet with a thickness of 3 to 6 mm and wound it to make a shaft, but in the early 1980s we made a custom-made 18 mm thick plate, cut it, and carved it from a prism. I realized something suitable for work. With more than 30 years of thirst, it's in the best condition right now.
When making the material, green and pearl celluloid are mixed, but the jade green(JG) finished by separating the colors has a gorgeous look, and the new jade green(NJ) finished by mixing the colors has a gentle look.
